Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!
Just a bit of an update for you all. Jakey has lost sensation in both of his legs now, but is as courageous as ever and is looking forward to an action-packed and fun filled adventure in Melbourne with family, the Krugers and BJ Pennells. The trip will last just over a week and includes visits to the zoo, jail, MCG and the Big Blue. It will certainly create a lot of beautiful family memories. Unfortunately Melissa will be unable to join us as she begins her first week of teaching at Harristown High.
With respect to the shave, the donation tally has reached over $1200 already which is an incredible start. Huge thanks to:
- The local, family run business Urth Cafe on Hume St for donating their Charity Jar to Jake and the Shave for the months of January and February
- Heritage Bank Ltd Banking Operations Team, Toowoomba for raising over $1100 for Jake
- Berserk Australia, Larissa Brady, Tyronne Fenner, Ben Hollman and David Lobwein for their raffle donations
- Everyone who has contributed towards Jake or the Shave, or has shared the page/video on Facebook
There are a couple of fundraising events coming up soon including auctioning off the signed NSW Origin Jersey and a zumba event so stay tuned! Follow The Snake’s Tale on Facebook, a page updated by Jake’s beautiful mum, Karen, to stay in the loop! Have a lovely weekend everyone.
